AUDITIONS for Wind Ensemble
Auditions usually take place in early to mid February. Auditions are scheduled based on openings (vacancies) in the Wind Ensemble. Students should download and practice the audition pieces (see below), and prepare the scales. There are 3 ways to audition for Wind:
1. In class. Director Conaton will audition any members of the Symphonic Band, Jazz Orchestra and Wind Ensemble during classes. Once high school students have been placed in ensembles, he will audition 8th grade band classes over several days in February.
2. Students can schedule an audition by contacting Director Conaton and setting up a time in February.
3. Students can submit a video of themselves performing the scales (as many as possible) and the audition piece to Director Conaton's email.
